Value vs Pay
Construction professionals are largely underpaid. Perhaps the most underpaid set of professionals out there. Reason is many don't see the need to hire a professional to do his job. Why hire an Electrical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Architect, Builder for Project Management, QS...just to supervise a 2 storey building? One Architect (in most times the one hired) or Engineer should be able to do the job. LOL.Typing this now, I remember how teachers are severely undervalued. I'm not even sure what the root cause is but it's painful, seeing how critical they are in life.These days, if you want to earn good money from a 'job', it should be tech related? God helps us.
